Our team
We’re very lucky to have such a passionate team, who take pride in serving the best food and drink in town. Our team have worked with us for years to help make the Hobbs Boat the amazing restaurant it is today. It’s because of them we have such a great atmosphere, and that just makes our food even better.

We care about supporting the community and doing our bit to make life better for the people around us. We hold a regular 'Memory Cafe' support group for people with Alzheimer’s and dementia, it’s a safe space for the whole family to meet up and enjoy great food in a supportive environment. We also host a quiz on the last Monday of every month to support local charities, it’s always a lot of fun and there’s raffle prizes to win on the night too!

Our location
The Hobbs Boat has been an important part of Lympsham’s history since the 9th century – the original restaurant building was known as the Ferryman's House. The waterways in Lympsham were different back then, but the ferry was vital to get cargo and supplies to the surrounding areas. We’re really proud of our namesake and our heritage, and Lympsham is a beautiful village to explore.

You can eat and drink in our bigger main restaurant area, or head to the Snug for somewhere a little bit quieter. Both parts of our restaurant have been designed to be extra comfy, with everything you need in both spots. We also have lots of outdoor garden seating.

There’s also plenty of parking next to our restaurant, to help take the hassle out of your trip.

Why we love Weston-super-Mare
We’re in a great spot, close to Weston-super-Mare and Burnham-on-Sea, and we’re ideal for grabbing a delicious dinner and a drink if you’re heading on to explore elsewhere in the South West.

Weston-super-Mare is just four miles away from our restaurant, so stopping with us for a quiet drink or breakfast before a fun day on the Grand Pier or along the promenade is a great idea. The Grand Pier is probably one of Weston-super-Mare’s most famous spots. It dates all the way back to 1904. It’s a great place for sea views and sunny days on the seaside.

There’s some great beaches nearby, including Weston-super-Mare beach, which even has a Sand Sculpture Festival. Visitors are welcome to get involved, take lots of pictures and really enjoy a great day out.

We’re quite close to Brean Beach and Brean Down too, perfect for sightseeing, long walks along the seaside and family adventures on the coast. All great ideas for days out after enjoying a delicious meal with us!
